Review (BigOZine) : This disc, originally released by the "Oh Boy" label, was recorded live in London in 1973 while the group was touring behind its "Shoot Out At The Fantasy Factory" album. Founders Steve Winwood, Chris Wood and Jim Capaldi are joined by bassist Roger Hawkins, percussionist Rebop Kwaku Baah and keyboardist Barry Beckett. At winwoodfans.com, someone commented that "The quality is good. It sounds like it was taped from vinyl, although very clean vinyl." Also, there is a version of this disc that contains only the first seven tracks. This is the longer version. While Steve Winwood has currently found another wind in his sails, there are many fans who feel that Winwood really hit his groove in those early years when he was with the Spencer Davis Group, Traffic and Blind Faith. As they say, here's one for the road.

Review (BigOZine) : This is actually a 1970 show with just the three charter members that was broadcast on BBC - except Shoot Out and Low Spark appear to be from the On The Road release (1973 tour).

Review (BigOZine) : All of this with the exception of the tracks Shoot Out and Low Spark was released on the UK BBC Rock Hosted by John Peel. I was really in love with Traffic and made in an effort to find all of the radio shows on them. The reissues of course were not with John Peel as host but it was with others. The two tracks Shootout and Low Spark were tacked onto a version of a show labeled as "In Concert - BBC Concert featuring Traffic. The show number was #91- 44 and broadcast week of Oct.28,1991. The same had already been used by Westwood one on show 86-26 with broadcast date as Dec.15,1986. Anyway the BBC John Peel was from just about the time they regrouped after Blind Faith to do the John Barleycorn LP. Also this material has been released several times on cd radio shows such as Westwood One in concert show 93-30 in 1993 (with some of Winwood solo stuff tacked on the end to make it a 2cd show) and The Superstars Concert Series of July 17-18 1999. There is also a bootleg titled "Traffic Paris Theater London 1970" which is of the entire John Peel broadcast. As far as the songs Shootout and Low Spark I've never figured out where they came from but they were not from the original BBC Rock hour of course.
