Review : The reunited Band performed three consecutive nights at The Lone Star Cafe in New York City, starting on February 6, 1986, less than a month before Richard Manuel died. Steve Winwood who happened to be in town the first evening, joins in for "Willie And The Hand Jive". Quite a few covers of well-known and lesser-known artists (such as Danny Dill, Jimmy McCracklin, Bobby "Blue" Band, Sleepy John Estes, Bob Dylan, Phillip Walker, Little Junior's Blue Flames, The Johnny Otis Show, Marvin Gaye, Woody Herman, Kokomo Arnold, Ray Charles, Eddy Arnold and Clarence "Frogman" Henry) are featured. The recordings of these 3 nights are excellent and a must-have for all fans of The Band.
