Review (JoeRay) : Steve's wonderful opening set for Dave Alvin at the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern in Cleveland, Ohio. This was a totally enjoyable set by songwriter, Steve Forbert. Steve was joined by Jesse Bardwell on guitar and mandolin. Dipping deep into his catalog of songs not usually played on this tour, Steve performed and energetic and stimulating set of song opening for Dave Alvin during the Midwest portion of his tour. I especially liked his new lyrics to The Oil Song incorporating verses about the Exxon Valdez.
