PAUL McCARTNEY : LOOKING FOR CHANGES |
|
Label : Yellow Cat Venue : Ed Sullivan Theatre, New York City, New York, USA Recording Date : December 10, 1992 Release Date : 1993 Length : 75:49 Quality : Soundboard recording (A+) Review : Sir Paul McCartney came to New York to tape an episode of the "Up Close" television show at the Ed Sullivan Theater, the same venue where The Beatles first played in 1964. An edited copy of the show can be found on this bootleg "Looking For Changes" (Yellow Cat Records YC003), a complete and unedited version is available on "First Night At New York 92 (Front Row CD 11-12). The set is remarkable for the copious amounts of songs from the new album "Off The Ground" including the profanity-laced "Big Boys Bickering." Paul also plays a country hoedown arrangement of "Can't Buy Me Love" and includes rarities like "Fixing A Hole" and "C'mon People." The sound quality on this release is near perfect. It is one of the best candid behind-the-scenes tapes of McCartney available and essential to have. |
