Review (Old Grey Cat) : As you can infer from the track listing, this 1992 affair, recorded for the PBS TV show Center Stage, is an acoustic affair, although it does feature Neil playing the pump organ on "Like a Hurricane" and "After the Gold Rush." I prefer the guitar to the organ so I was a little disappointed. Aside from the two pump organ performances, I didn't like "Love Is a Rose." I'm not a very big fan of the banjo. With those mea culpas complete, "War of Man," "Pocahontas" and "Dreaming Man" are excellent, and "Mr. Soul" always gets me, especially when it's done acoustically. For me, however, the highlight is "Powderfinger," which I'd never before heard acoustic. It moves me so much more this way than the electric versions I've heard, like the one from Weld. The sound quality is excellent. You only hear the people at the show after each song, and it is even easy to hear Neil tell his stories, which for me is almost as good as the music, maybe even better.
