JOHN HIATT & THE FUGITIVE POPES : CHICAGO 1990 |
|
Disc One (56:43)
Disc Two (60:54)
Label : no label Venue : Vic Theatre, Chicago, Illinois, USA Recording Date : December 7, 1990 Quality : FM recording (A+) Review : Superlative performance by Hiatt and band perfectly represented by this FM recording. Initially, there was some confusion over the setlist but vtec on Dime offers an explanation : I think the reason for the setlist confusion is that I believe there were two shows at the Vic Theatre in December 1990. The one on December 6th was a benefit concert for children in Chicago and the other was the next day. The set list given by the uploader is for the second show, which was also broadcast on WXRT-FM in Chicago. I have that other show and “Trudy And Dave” was played in place of “Listening to Old Voices” and the order of some other songs differed. A portion of the other show was also on a bootleg called “The Wild Blue Yonder”. Both shows circulate as December 6, 1990, but I think the date for this show is correct and the second show was actually December 7." |
