JACKSON BROWNE : THE ROAD EAST - LIVE IN JAPAN |
|
Label : Inside Recordings Venue : Aichi-ken Geijutsu Gekijou, Nagoya, Japan + Orchard Hall, Tokyo, Japan + Festival Hall, Osaka, Japan + Bunka Gakuen HBG Hall, Hiroshima, Japan Recording Date : March 9 - 17, 2015 Release Date : October 6, 2017 Length : 63:27 Review (Amazon) : If you are a Jackson Browne fan this CD is a must-have. Produced by Jackson from his performances recorded in Nagoya, Osaka and Hiroshima between March 9-17, 2015 with glorious Blu-Spec CD2 sound that will make even folks with average ears feel as if they were there. It is a little pricey but absolutely worth every cent when considering the sound quality and the packaging (which contains a lyric pamphlet and a soft protective inner sleeve for the disc). This is not a "greatest hits" type performance either. While he delivers "These Days" and "Call It a Loan" - by audience request - other than "In the Shape of a Heart" he primarily delves into his message material. This is Jackson clearly demonstrating his sensitivity to the Japanese audience as he eloquently shares his philosophy by appropriately closing with "I Am A Patriot." His band is comprised of Jeff Young, Bob Glaub, Mauricio Lewak, Greg Leisz, Val McCallum, with Chavonne Stewart and Alethea Mills on background vocals. |
