Review : A superb stereo soundboard of Genesis' December 2, 1981 show at the Civic Center in Hartford, taped during the North American leg of the Abacab Tour, the same run of dates that produced the official "Three Sides Live" release. This recording surfaced as part of a small wave of previously unheard soundboards from the same stretch of shows, running from the New York area through to Hartford. The mix is raw and direct, taken straight from the desk, with only a brief patch of audience material bridging a short gap after "Carpet Crawlers" while the performance itself remains fully soundboard throughout. What makes this particular tape stand out is the inclusion of "Like It Or Not," an extremely rare piece that was performed only a handful of times during this tour and dropped from the setlist soon after, making this one of the very few surviving recordings of the song. Combined with a full, well-paced set spanning material from "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" right through to "Abacab," this is one of the most historically interesting documents of the tour to have emerged.
