Label : Windsong Venues : Paris Theatre, London, UK + Hippodrome Golders Green, London, UK Recording Dates : May 3, 1977 + March 16, 1978 + March 21, 1979 Release Date : 1994 Length : 78:17 Review (Amazon) : Excellent album from one of my favourite performers. Good sound quality and good mix of songs. Some really good covers that I hadn't heard him do before... "When something is wrong with my baby" and "It takes a lot to laugh, It takes a train to cry" The highlight of the traditional Frankie songs are A Woman to love, Jealous Guy and Aint got no money. Every song is a gem and I would reccommend the album to old and new Frankie Miller fans. I have always been amazed that he went through his career relatively unnoticed and in my opinion he is the greatest talent Scotland has produced. It is sad that the final gigs I was at were very low key gigs in Glasgow, maybye ten or twelve years ago. He is a class act and would complement any music collection. Buy them all and enjoy. |
