Review for Part 1 (Bobs Boots) :  The package is only fair, but the recording and performance is great. Throughout 1981, Dylan slowly began reintroducing some of his standards back into the gospel shows. By the end of the year, they outnumbered the religious songs. This soundboard recording features very little audience noise. The vocals are way out front. Dylan's phrasing and articulation that had made the christian material so powerful is now spilling over into the secular classics. There are new lyrics, and new fire in the old lyrics. This show's introduction in French caused erroneous speculation that some of the material was from one of the Canadian shows of two weeks prior. Along with the companion CD "Part 2", this is, in fact, the entire Houston show.

Review for Part 2 (Bobs Boots) :  There is one minor sonic problem with this disc. Two minutes into Shot Of Love, the music goes silent for one second. It is not known whether this flaw is on the master tape taken from the soundboard, or simply a problem with the mastering. Regardless, it's a very minor annoyance on an incredible disc and shouldn't deter anyone from obtaining this great sounding soundboard recording. One of the more notable of the many highlights is a considerably slowed version of Along with the companion CD "Part 1", this contains the entire Houston show.
