Disc One (70:43)
Disc Two (73:43)
Label : BDW Records Venue : Hammersmith Apollo, London, UK Date : February 7th - 9th, 1993 Quality : Audience Recording (A+) Review (Bobsboots) : The '93 Hammersmith residency material is a mixed bag of goods. It ranges from lackluster, monotone drudgery to powerful heartfelt anthems. Some of the better highlights featured on this set include a slick production of "Tangled Up In Blue", a slow, powerful version of "Positively 4th Street", an anthem like "She Belongs To Me", "Jim Jones" sounding like the released version, and a cool, jazz flavored title track. The tracks are digitally recorded from the audience, but some suffer from the distance of the recorder. The packaging is minimum, and barely squeaks by with a 'fair' rating. The single side printed front & back inserts are all that you get. Images and aesthetics are weak. |
