Review (GigInJapan) : The time has passed to the point where it is not possible to put live sound sources from the 1990s in the category of vintage. So this time, Bob Dylan will release the 1991 stage, but if more than 25 years have passed, this can be called a fine vintage time. Dylan was tired of studio recording by making “two-way” production of two albums, “Under The Red Sky" of the previous year and Traveling Wilburys “Volume 3” with George Harrison and others. It feels like it was 1991, and it was an unusual year when no recording was done for my album. At the same time, guitarist GE Smith, who supported the three years that Dylan was thinking about retirement for the first time and regained his confidence as an artist in the live after the live, 1991, band members totaled We face the reality that we had to replace and start over. Certainly, the three years of GE Smith’s enrollment are undoubtedly at its peak, and for that reason the first tour in 1991 performed by a new band member clearly lacks detail compared to the same time one year ago. It was. Because of that, the time of 1991 was a time of inconvenience when items were not released even at that time. However, in 1991, Dylan decided not to do studio recording, but there was a suggestion that he tried to train the band on a tour. The band has a surprising member choice that former King Crimson Ian Wallace, who served as Dylan’s back in 1978, will actually return, and the 1991 schedule will actually be picked from January. ? Thanks to this hard schedule, the band’s performance evolved into a rocky area around Europe in the summer. However, the number of items released at that time was too small, and only items that are now difficult to obtain (and only incompletely recorded items were released). There is no doubt that this was a particularly overlooked time in Dylan’s long live history. This release is a realization to throw a stone too late for this situation. That’s where the white arrow was raised in the Studgart performance on June 17th. Sound quality is outstanding no matter what you say. Starting with Dylan’s voice, the overall balance of the sound image is extremely on. If it was released in 1991, it would be misunderstood as “Sound board?” It may have been a big factor that it was overlooked that such a complete recording item of the finest audience recording was not released. The recording quality is also very attractive. It is a recording state of gentle sound quality that is so round that you want to describe it softly rather than warm. Combined with the extremely clear stereo sound quality, it feels as if you listened to it with headphones. As expected, there are now only releases on the limited press CD. Guaranteeing quality that can be heard with peace of mind from beginners to enthusiasts. 1991 Dylan’s stage was a really unique time that was different from the previous year or the following year. First of all, “New Morning”, which was first introduced in the live repertoire from the US tour in April, will definitely be played at the opening. However, as the tour progresses, it is rare that this song is played in full chorus, and when Dylan appears during the performance, he blows the harmonica and hits the keyboard as the song progresses. (Unlike Dylan, it ’s not the level of “playing”, laughs), or singing if you think that, the mysterious opening has been a hot topic since that time. I’m hitting the ugly keyboard that appears here in Studgart, but it was actually a precious scene because he stopped touching the keyboard the next day. His characteristic of this year is that not only Dylan in 1991 mode exploded from the opening, but also he slammed throughout. From the following year to the present, I don’t see any sloppy Dylan. There is also a theory that liquor had an influence here, but it is rare that Dylan explains the song so easily. The masterpiece is “Knockin ‘On Heaven’s Door”. “Everyone have thought about heaven? This is a song about heaven, but it’s near Chicago!” And so on. However, the performance of the band is wonderful compared to the beginning of the tour, and there is a lead guitar that John Jackson plays with a dry tone. “When I Paint My Masterpiece” had the significance of being played frequently on stage starting with this European tour, and conversely “Like Rolling Stone” has been played every night since 1988. ”Is no longer played from this day, and the unexpected change that it moves away from regular treatment. And since 1978, Ian Wallace’s drumming has also been strikingly striking compared to January and February. Also, “Trail Of The Buffalo”, where Dylan plays alone. Mania is familiar with the version that was played on the stage in 1988, and the version of the very rare arrangement that was performed in the band in 1989 was released in titles such as “ Hot August Night 1989" and “Hague 1989” will be asked. However, the 1991 version is sung in the original folk style than the previous version, and the persuasive narrative that can only be done in Dylan is so losing words. This may have been a hint to the release of traditional songs from the following year. Dylan’s 1991 tour, where there were no items available now, is not only sound quality, but also a powerful performance. What’s more, he’s surprisingly funny in “kind MC mode”. A perfect item appears to let mania re-evaluate the year that was overlooked in every sense. This will be a new piece representing the 1991 Dylan stage.
