BOB DYLAN : NORTH WIND BLOWING |

Disc One (63:54)
Disc Two (53:47)
Label : Kiss The Stone Venue : The Spectrum, Oslo, Norway Date : July 18, 1996 Quality : Audience Recording (A+) Review (Bob's Boots) : In the 1980s, KTS emerged as a leader in great sounding CDs, and incredible looking packages with beautiful full color silk screened picture discs. By the end of the 90s they were running out of steam. Everything about this release is very nice, but that's about as excited as you can get with it. The digital recording and straight digital transfer once again, leaves it with a lack of warmth. It's as if a north wind is blowing across the entire recording. The package and aesthetics are similar. Very nice, but cold feeling. The once full color silver discs have been reduced to black on yellow. All in all, a nice package. The highlights include a wonderful acoustic set. |
