Venue : Purdue University, Elliott Hall Of Music, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA

Date : November 3rd, 2004

Quality : Audience recording (A+)

Comments from The Bootleg Encyclopedia : The European label Crystal Cat have produce a very comprehensive summary of Dylan's fall college tour with Lafayette 2004. The bulk of this title comes from his appearance at Purdue University. The label use an excellent stereo audience recording much like other tapes that have surfaced from this tour. The tape sources for the bonus tracks are similarly very good to excellent in sound quality and are very thought out (especially for including "Love Minus Zero/No Limit" from East Lansing). Dylan tells his Louisiana joke introducing drummer George Recile ("He's from Louisiana. They got a lot of snakes down there. When it rains, he puts them on his windshield and calls them 'windshield vipers'"). "Shooting Star" sounds great in this recording, and "Boots Of Spanish Leather" sees Stu giving very inventive responses to Dylan's harp. A classic. "Desolation Row" is very interesting and the encores include the Hendrix version of "All Along The Watchtower". The label uses the double slimline jewel case with many excellent photos on the artwork making this a very classy production. (GS)

Comments from Bob's Boots : Another great show. The band is tight, and Bob is in a good mood. Great sounding harmonica lead solos. The well chosen filler tracks help make this set an incredible listen. The package includes the typically lush colors, photos and information that help set this Label apart.
