Review (Bob's Boots) : This 2 CD set is the ultimate documentation of the 1976 Rolling Thunder tour. The title comes from a 2 LP vinyl set of the Fort Worth material that was released shortly after the show. The soundboard recording on this disc is as good as it gets for shows of this era. The vocals are mixed way up high and in your face. The performances are wonderful. The package includes Great photos to boot. (pun intended). The in between song editing is not quite as smooth as what it should be, but it in no way interferes with the listening experience. The only major problem is that the sonic quality takes a big nose dive on the second disc for the songs Knockin' On Heaven's Door and Gotta Travel On. It picks up again for the remaining filler songs. Virtually every song on this set is a highlight with the best, interestingly enough, being the beautiful Silver Mantis sung by T-Bone. This CD should be in your collection.
