Review : David Byrne and Richard Thompson each performed their own set during this concert at St. Ann & The Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, New York on Tuesday, March 24, 1992. A bootleg of this concert, featuring a mix of Thompson and Byrne songs, was released by the Red Phantoms label as “An Acoustic Evening.” The bootleg is an audience recording and has rather poor sound quality. This recording of David Byrne’s set, however, is a DAT soundboard recording and stands out for its excellent audio quality. Byrne performs not only his own songs, but also songs from Talking Heads and covers of other artists, such as Garland Jeffreys, The Pogues, the" Texas Tornados and Neil Young. During the final three songs, he is joined by Richard Thompson. Highly recommended!
