Review (AllMusic) : Chris Spedding recharged his career when the '77 era punk explosion emerged. Spedding, a veteran musician who already had four albums of his own and many critical appearances on many other artist's albums, came out with "Pogo Dancing" with The Vibrators. Then, released his eponymous album, Chris Spedding, the best album of his career. His follow-up, Hurt, is a harder rocking LP. Side 2 (on the vinyl) just completely roars with "Wild Wild Women", "Road Runner", the premiere "Stay Dumb", "Get Outa My Pagoda" and winding up with "Hurt By Love". While not as essential as it's predecessor, Hurt is a must have album by a very important artist.
