Review : This is the audio part of the Cat Stevens performance filmed before a live audience at the Aquaria Theatre in Hollywood. The show was recorded for the ABC's televsion "In Concert" series and aired on November 9, 1973. The recording was presumably made the same day or some days before the air-date. Dr. John and Linda Ronstadt both performed songs written by Cat Stevens. This music special was broadcast on both ABC TV and KLOS 95.5 FM on November 9, 1973, and probably simulcast on that date. KLOS in L.A. was an ABC affiliate station at the time of this broadcast. "In Concert" was a late-night television series created by Don Kirshner. Hosted by Don Branker, the series was a showcase for bands of the era to be taped "in concert" and then broadcast on ABC on Friday nights. The series premiered on November 24, 1972, preempting The Dick Cavett Show. In January 1973, both The Dick Cavett Show and In Concert became part of ABC's Wide World of Entertainment programming block. Kirshner left in late 1973 to produce the syndicated series Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. In Concert continued to appear approximately every other Friday night until it left the ABC schedule on April 25, 1975. During its three seasons on the air, the series received four Primetime Emmy Awards.
